Still Listening, Learning & Praying

Hello Friends!

As we walk into a new week, I want to say, I am still learning, listening and praying about racism in our country. I don’t want this to be quickly forgotten, in my heart. There is so much I don’t understand, but I want to. For me, it starts with listening and learning. I’ve learned so much lately that I just didn’t “get” before. I’ve had more moments of clarity and understanding. Because I have, I thought I’d share with you who I’ve been listening to, just in case you don’t know where to start. So here is a list of people, interviews and conversations that have been enlightening to me.

Pastor Stephen Furtick & Pastor John Gray https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D7jTUfNyPkE

Angelle Marix (a blogger friend having conversation with 2 friends) https://www.instagram.com/tv/CBKFEk2jHQB/

There are many more, but if you are searching, hopefully this will give you a place to start. I said earlier that I am listening and learning. In addition, I am praying. Praying about how I can be a part of a positive change, at my age, in my city, with my sphere of influence.

In the midst of it all, I still enjoy sharing different fashion finds! Here is a closer look at this fun jute tote and wooden bracelet (both are currently 50% off!).

  1. Hi Michelle! I’ve enjoyed your posts on IG, and this is my first visit to your blog. It was the mention of racism that caught my eye – I’ve been doing the “white work” myself, and am very interested in the links you referenced. I’ve just started a blog myself, and I’m interested in the balance between things like fashion and travel, and the “deeper” stuff like becoming anti-racist and making a difference as you said – using my platforms in my circle, and my privilege and influence. I look forward to following your blog!

    1. Thanks Mary Katherine! So glad you visited my blog. I just saw a new episode of Uncomfortable Conversations and it was really good too👌. Thanks for saying hello! Have a good week!
