I’m glad you’re here!
Let me introduce myself and tell you why I wanted to start this blog! My name is Michelle, I’m 55 and I live in Louisiana in a small town just north of Baton Rouge with my husband Paul and our dog, Bella. We have three young adult sons and love this new season of retirement and empty nest life!
I’ve always loved fashion, skincare, makeup and ministry. I have worked as a manager for Nordstrom, J.Jill and The Limited (way back in the day!) All three were excellent companies to work for. Each one placed great emphasis on educating about wardrobe basics, fabrics, styles, accessories, transitioning from one season to the next… I am thankful for all that I learned. I have also worked at Bumble Lane Spa (day spa) that carries skincare, hair care, nails products and clothing. Bumble is also very focused on educating employees on products, to then be able to educate customers to make informed decisions before purchasing.
I graduated from Cosmetology School in the 80’s and enjoyed learning all that I was taught, but did not enjoy actuallycutting hair or doing nails. Then when I turned 40, I went back to school to study Women’s Ministry. I have actively served in women’s ministry for the last 25 years, and wanted to grow deeper in my knowledge and biblical understanding to be able to minister to women more effectively.
