Hi Friends! It’s Sunday, and time to catch up a bit! Last week was a really good week for me, I can’t wait to share with you some of the opportunities that have come my way.
Family – My sweet sister in law flew in from TN fo r her brother’s graduation, so I got to spend a few hours with her midweek. We went to a local restaurant in Baton Rouge for breakfast called “Ruby Slipper.” It was so great visiting with her!
Fashion – I had a meeting with our local Loft and will be partnering with them for the next 6 months! I am so excited about this opportunity! I’ll be popping in to take a peak at current styles each month and sharing them on my Instagram and Facebook Pages, and Instagram stories. I have always loved Loft and look forward to partnering with them!
Books – I just got the book “It’s not Supposed to be this way” by Lisa Terkerest. (Mother’s Day gift from my youngest). Our family was recently thrown a curve ball. Unexpected changes happened that do not seem fair. I thought the timing was good to read that book. I have been wanting it since it came out. I’ll let you know how I like in a a few weeks. Makeup – A few months ago I bought Tarte Shape Tape Foundation. I had heard so many great things about it and just knew I’d love it. Well, I didn’t love it. I kept using it, trying it with different primers, moisturizers, etc. It just looked cakey on me and did not wear well. So I went back to an old favorite (not sure why I ever stopped using this one). It is “It CC Cream Illumination.” I love it now even more after using one I didn’t like!! It’s buildable coverage, can go from medium to full coverage. And, a plus is that it contains SPF!
