Holiday Happenings

The Holidays are here! Are you ready? I am pretty close to being ready. We have family arriving the week of Christmas. Honestly, we had way too many leftovers at Thanksgiving, so I am going to dial it back a little for Christmas. I suppose I’m always worried there won’t be enough. Speaking of food, here are a few of my favorite appetizers to make during the holidays.

I usually make the Pinwheels a day ahead and let them chill over night. the next day just slice and serve and it’s so easy! You can also add a bowl of salsa for dipping, but I enjoy them just as they are.

I love that you can make this as spicy as you want by how many jalapeños you add. We like spicy, so I add a lot. Serve this warm with Fritos and it will surely be a hit!

Crab Mornay is my all time favorite! It’s so important to use real crabmeat. And that little bit of Sherry makes such a difference in the flavor.

I love wearing red nails during the holidays! I’m usually a white or light neutral kind of girl…but I do enjoy the occasional red nail!

These are all beautiful shades of red. I think my favorite is Big Apple Red. It’s just a beautiful deep blue red that goes well with my skin tone. Tap on the polish below to shop.

Lastly, a red lip is always fun during the holidays! This can be very tricky. Again, I’m more of a neutral girl, but I do enjoy wearing a red lip every once in a while. Here are my favorites!
