Fall in Tennessee

Last week Paul and I went to Tennessee for a quick getaway. It was beautiful and relaxing and just what we needed. We enjoy going in October to experience the leaves changing colors (we don’t really get 4 distinct seasons in Louisiana). Because of that we scheduled our trip the 3rd week of October, which was perfect!

We stayed in a fabulous log cabin in Johnson City, Tennessee. The cabin had a rustic feel, with modern amenities. It was close enough to all we wanted to do, but felt like we were away from the city. If you are ever looking for a place to getaway in that area, definitely check it out!

My brother & sister-in-law own two small businesses in Johnson City. Swirled is a Frozen Yogurt & Ice Cream Shop. I have never seen one that offers both, it was really cool.

My favorite flavor is Cake Batter topped with fresh raspberries!

The other small business is a resale shop The Owl’s Nest. They sell gently used women’s, men’s and children’s clothing, home items and a section on new boutique style women’s clothes. It’s a fun place to shop and find treasures! This time I found a David Yurman bracelet. That isn’t something they usually have…but lucky me, I’m glad I got it!!

Have you ever been to the Tri-City area in TN? Do you like to travel in the Fall? Let me know some of your favorite places! Thanks for spending part of your day with me today!
