2020 has been a year! I have tried several new anti aging products and treatments this year. So I wanted to share with you my favorites in skincare, at home tools & devices and spa / in office procedures. I’ve also recorded all of this information in a video over on Instagram.
Skincare – A few brands that were new to me this year are Revision, Drunk Elephant and Maelove. I really like each one, but the stand out was definitely Revision Skincare.
My number one anti aging product, year after year is still Retin A (tretinoin). There are a few ways to get prescription strength Retin A. The quickest way is getting a prescription through your doctor. Another way is ordering through reliablerxpharmacy.com. I have ordered from them and it is a safe way to buy it. I usually order 3 tubes at a time and it costs about $10 a tube. The down side to that is that it takes a few months to receive it.(If you need more specifics, let me know). If you find Retin A too strong, there are less aggressive options available. This one by Revision is a great option.
Vitamin C Serum remains in my favorites as an antiaging product because it brightens skin for a more youthful look. The Revision Vitamin C is excellent! Another more budget friendly option that I have tried and loved, is Timeless or Maelove.
A great Moisturizer is a must, and my favorites have been Revision, CereVe, Eminence & Olay.
Lastly in anti aging products, I have to stay teeth whitening. Yellow teeth can really age your appearance. I use an inexpensive whitening gel that’s easy to use and keeps my teeth white. I use this a couple times a month, and it keeps my teeth white.
At Home Devices / Tools – My most used at home device has been my dermaplanning tool (basically shaving your face). I use it once a week and it keeps my face smooth, my skincare penetrates deeper and my makeup goes on smoother. Another device that I have found to be very effective is my microcurrent device. I’ll be honest, it works IF you use it. You have to be consistent to see results. I have not been consistent lately and have noticed my results fading. Itis a great tool to invest in, if you actually use it.
Spa & In Office Procedures – Hydrafacials are SO good! If it is in your budget, I would suggest getting one once a month or once a quarter. *Adding dermaplanning on to a hydrafacial is the best! (they can remove a lot more dead skin that the at home device).
BBL (Broad Band Light Therapy) – BBL is a procedure done at a Dermatology Clinic. I had three treatments, which is what they recommend for optimum results. I actually go back in January to bee before and after pictures (I’ll be sure to share them with you!) It feels like a snap of a rubberband on the area being treated. The results offer faded age spots, minimized pores, and tightened skin.
Injectables – I did have Juvederm (filler) and Dysport (another form of Botox) done this year. Juvederm fills in sunken areas, to plump and look more full. Dysport helps to freeze the muscles to prevent them from wrinkling. My target areas for filler are: under eye, cheeks & laugh lines. My target areas for Dysport are: between my eyebrows, crows feet & forehead.
I hope this has been helpful to hear about what worked for me in 2020. I’d be happy to answer any questions you have about any of it. Thanks for spending part of your day with me!
