Makeup Routine for Women over 50 -

I don’t know about you, but my makeup routine shifts a little bit from season to season. I thought I’d share my current makeup routine! For reference, I am 55 years old with dry skin. I believe good skincare is key (I’ll do another blogpost dedicated just to skincare soon).

I start with covering up age spots or sun spots using the Jane Iredale Corrective Colors. Next I use this concealer by Tarte in the shade 12N Fair Neutral. I apply with the brush that comes with it and then tap with a damp makeup sponge. For foundation I use this powder foundation in the shade Light by Laura Geller.

I use this bronzer in the shade Hotel Heiress on my forehead, cheeks, nose and under chin to create a sculpted look. Then blush in the shade Dollface on the apples of my cheeks and highlighter in Champagne Pop on nose, cheekbones and cupids bow.

I have used the same eyeshadow palette for so long now…I guess I’m a creature of habit, but I really love the colors in it. For mascara, I use a lash primer and this mascara in black by Loreal . My brows are micro bladed but I still fill in with this brow pencil in shade 3.5.

For a base lip shade, my go to is Warm me Up. I like to put a gloss on top or a glossy lipstick for shine.

Lastly, I use a setting spray to set my makeup. This is what works for me. If you have any questions please feel free to ask!
